International Students

Welcome to Macomb!

Our campuses are home to a diverse international student population representing over 70 different countries. Macomb is dedicated to helping each and every one of our international students make the most out of their college education.

At Macomb, you can complete a two-year associate degree program (we offer more than 200) or take the first two years of a bachelor’s degree program, then transfer to a four-year college or university. We also offer English classes for non-native speakers that can help you improve your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

Prospective students applying for an F-1 student visa or transferring from another U.S. college on an F-1 visa must already possess a certain level of English language proficiency. (See section on F-1 students for language requirements.)

Macomb offers many free student resources to help you on your academic journey, including tutoring centers, reading and writing studios, and academic counselors and advisors.

Those with Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylum status, and those on other visas, may apply through Macomb’s regular admissions process.

Canadian Students on an F-1 student visa may choose to commute from Ontario or live in the United States.
